Published: November 1, 1994
Abbie's Peak is a small hill four miles northeast of Dickens in central Dickens County. It was named by an early surveyor named Hayes after his fiancée. At various times the hill has also been called Saddleback for its peculiar shape. Abbie's Peak was part of the Jack Gipson ranch in the 1970s.
