Published: November 1, 1994

Acebuche Draw originates in southwestern Pecos County near Panther Mesa (at 30°25' N, 103°10' W) and runs northeast for forty-five miles before emptying into Lake Leon near Interstate Highway 10, eight miles west of Fort Stockton (at 30°53' N, 103°01' W). The draw runs through an area of steep to gentle slopes surfaced with clayey and sandy loams. In the local vegetation creosote bush, tarbush, mesquite shrubs, and juniper shrubs predominate.
