History of Behamon, Angelina County

Updated: November 1, 1994

Behamon was near the Trinity River in southern Angelina County. The settlement was named for Frank Behamon, who moved to the area in the 1870s. Some lumbering was done there before 1900. In the early 1990s only a few scattered houses remained in the area.
