Erika Arredondo-Haskins, Ph.D.
Dr. Arredondo-Haskins completed her Ph.D. at the University of the Incarnate Word, where she teaches Religious Studies and serves as Director of the UIW Young Women’s Global Leadership Program. With academic qualifications, including a BBA, an MA in Religious Studies, and an MS in Organizational Leadership, Erika's expertise spans various disciplines. Her research interests focus on women’s and girls' leadership and leadership in early Spanish, Mexican, and Texas history. She serves as principal investigator and curator on the travel exhibition Las Damas de Tejas: Notable Women in Texas, where she has presented to schools and museums around Texas. She has served as a historical consultant on numerous projects, including the History Channel’s Avenging the Alamo: The Road to Texas Rising, and as a consultant for an official San Antonio Tricentennial project, Sueños de Béjar: A San Antonio Opera. She currently oversees the Los Alcaldes de Béxar project, a scholarly initiative that advocates the education of Texas’ first alcaldes from 1731 to 1836.
